The Alsace Wine Route: a journey through vineyards and villages
The Alsace Wine Route stretches for nearly 170 kilometres, from Marlenheim to Thann
Winding between vineyards, flower-filled villages and half-timbered houses, it reveals all the richness and authenticity of Alsace.
Among its essential stops are Riquewihr, Kaysersberg, Eguisheim and Ribeauvillé, renowned for their picturesque lanes and rich heritage. The route is also an opportunity to discover the great Alsatian grape varieties — Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Muscat — through the many tastings offered by local winegrowers.
Beyond wine, visitors can enjoy the local cuisine, castles, churches, hiking trails and the landscapes of the Vosges. Every season brings its own atmosphere: villages in bloom in summer, vineyards turning golden in autumn and enchanting Christmas markets in winter.
